While on my "March to the Sea" (I'm in Sherman-mode this spring cleaning season) we've had a couple of yard sales. The Lord has blessed over and abundantly, much more than we could have ever anticipated. So, instead of carting things back to the attic I checked with my consignment store (Lullabyes) and yes, she needed girls' dresses. Well, I had those in spades (40+ to be exact, down from 80+ 3 weeks ago). So, I loaded up a tub and I moved to Beverly...not exactly, but close.
On my way out the door, I tossed my daughters' old, freshly laundered "crocs" (not the real things) into the tub of clothes. Last year I got a wild idea to decorate them with ribbons. They really did turn out cute, but I was shocked at the number of people who commented about them throughout the summer. The thought crossed my mind..."I wonder if I would be able to make and sell these through the consignment store. Hmmmm...wouldn't hurt to ask." So I did. And she said we could go on a 60-day trial period. So a Wal-Mart run was made.
And here we are. I'm calling them "Ribb-bits." (BITS of RIBBon? crocs > frogs?? humor me here. my creativity at midnight is a little lacking.) I don't know if I will sell 1 pair. But, it's worth a shot. So, I need to get "hoppin'" and get some made so I can drop them off at the store before this weekend.
Later, 'Gator!
